Download and get started

Download HipMark from the Mac App Store. The Mac app requires macOS 13 or later. A 7-day trial starts on first use; check your access in Settings → Pro.

Press ⌘N to create a document, ⌘O to open Markdown, and ⌘S to save. Use ⌘/ to switch between live preview and source editing. The Help menu includes an editable HipMark guide.

One purchase for Mac, iPhone, and iPad

Buy HipMark Pro once and use it on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Sign in with the same Apple account on each device and restore the purchase in HipMark's Pro settings. There is no need to buy Pro again for each device. Get the mobile app from the iPhone / iPad App Store.

Features vary by platform and version. Mac offers the fullest editing, preview, and desktop-tool experience. Shared purchase access does not imply automatic document sync.

Is there a beginner tutorial?

Yes. The Mac app introduces its workflow on first direct launch; revisit it in Settings → Usage Guide. Open Help → Markdown Beginner Tutorial to practice headings, lists, quotes, code, tables, math, and diagrams.

The tutorial is an editable local Markdown copy with offline examples. Your practice edits are preserved when you reopen it. The interface, tutorials, and app guides support 17 languages.

Restore a Pro purchase

Sign in to the Mac App Store with the Apple account used for your purchase. Open HipMark → Settings → Pro → Restore Purchases while connected to the internet. If the product is unavailable, try reloading products. This website does not process purchases or start subscriptions.

Quick Look does not show HipMark

Run HipMark once, select a Markdown file in Finder, and press Space. If another app handles the preview, check that the Quick Look extension is enabled in System Settings. The settings location varies by macOS version.

Add desktop widgets

On macOS 14 or later, right-click an empty area of the desktop and choose Edit Widgets. Search for HipMark and add a pinned note, to-do list, or daily note. Run the app at least once so the system can discover its widgets. On macOS 13, use Notification Center.

Edit pinned-note text in the app and save. macOS controls widget refresh timing. Pinned notes do not display images or fully render tables, math, or diagrams. To-dos stay local and are separate from Apple Reminders.
